An employee may be dismissed
An employee may be dismissed for one of the following reasons:
Misconduct at work
Lack of capability (or qualifications) to do the job
Redundancy
Illegality
Some other substantial reason
Employers must follow a reasonable procedure as set out in the Acas Code of Practice.
