KIPFENBERG. Visiting the geographic central point of Bavaria. (Germany)

The visit at Kipfenberg and the geografic central point of Bavaria:
Welcome back to new trip report. Have you seen my last video, the full review about the Saint Martins Church in Greding last week. For you to kno. I visit this place, before I went by car to Greding to make the another video about the Church as well.
I self have never been in "Kipfenberg before, but I`ve been last summer time not far away at the community "Ekering" where I made the two videos about the Ruined Castle Rumburg and the "Schellenberg". I´m really a big fan of this region around the Altmuel Walley at I knew, that a comeback is importaint for exploring the different historic places. After my arrivel in Kipfenberg, I walked up to the popular katholic Church Maria "Himmelfahrt", thats a popular name for Churches in Bavaria, and basically devote for the selebrating day "Maria Himmelfahrt", in the year. The Church had a nice altar, a small organ and enough space for a worship with many people. After this stay, I went to the marking place and walked, from the marking place to the Saint Georg Church back to my car. I thought the castle on the top, of the mountain, is a must for the tour, but as I stand in front of the Gate, I saw the the building is in privat own. This was bad, but I knew that the geographic center of the federal state Bavaria is not far away of this place. I walked five minutes to this point. The central point was a large stone and some space for spending time. It was a great experience to visit the geographic center of Bavaria.

About Kipfenberg:
The small town Kipfenberg located in Bavaria, in the district of the bigger town Eichstätt, in the Altmuel walley has a poplation of 5862 according to December 2020 and is popular for the center village, of the federal state Bavaria. The town includes a nice marking place, a post office, some churches and a castle at the top of the comunity. Its also popular for the "Limes" a kind of wall built by the romans which was leading into the center of Kipfenberg. This both the geographic center of Bavaria and the region around the river Altmuel mades the town attractive for tourists from Germany and the world. Since 2005, the roman Limes wall is a world Heritage.
Its in all times in the year a nice place for everybody to see.        


Arriving details:
The best and onlyst option for coming to Kipfenberg for you is by car. The next station "Kinding" located 7 kilometers away. From Berlin, Hamburg both from Munich use the highway A9 for coming in the Altmuel walley. Take the slip road 58 Altmueltal and follow the state street 2228 via the coming roundabout traffic 4 minutes. At the camping store, chance the street to the state street 2230 and follow this road ca 15 minutes to the village Kipfenberg. But it`s happen enough lines for finding the right way.
For visiting the central point of Bavaria, drive with your car into the marking place to the "Haderstreet" and short time behind the curve take the way "Castelstreet" (Burgstraße) up to the castle. Importaint: Its need skills in car driving for driving to the parking store in front of the gate. The way is very narrow. The way from the castle to the geografic point is only 7 minute by foot and  3 minutes by car.
