I’ve the stones out of the fire, why did I heat them and poured them with water? To check their heat resistance. Not all stones passed the heat resistance test; we can see that two stones’ve cracked; I won’t take their remains. They’ll stay there, but, basically, this stone has three cracks, and it can crack further; and that stone seems to be good and doesn’t seem to crack further, so I’ll probably take it. I’ve picked the stones, and now I’ll put them into the fire to anneal, then I’ll pour them over with water, and we’ll check these stones’ durability, how durable they are and would they crack into pieces to prevent them from doing it inside the stove.
30 minutes later
The stones have heated very well. Now I’ll take some water from the river, pour them over, and make a test-drive for our stones. If they crack, that’ll mean that these are stones not suitable for us, and if they stay intact, then we’ll thump them one on another after they cool down, and after that we’ll understand that they are worth putting into the stove. Look, how good they’ve absorbed warmth. These are very good stones. I poured two buckets of cold water with ice on them, and the stones remain hot as they were. I’m happy. Well, let them cool down, and then a little later I’ll tell you about some moments.
