The Mercedes B-Class Electric Drive recuperation feature allows the electric vehicle to recapture energy when its slowing down, with the turning wheels acting as generators. Recuperation puts some charge back into the battery and occurs virtually anytime you take your foot off the accelerator or put your foot on the break.
