Spine Tester for Arrows

I’ve been asked by a few guys about how I measure spine for my lumber arrows - so here it is.

In this video I show my long standing original method for measuring spine, and show you how to build my new and improved jig for the same purpose.  Either one works well so long as you know how to interpret the deflection measure in terms of spine weight.  There are several spine conversion tables available on the web, but here’s the link to the one that I prefer to use:
