The Digital Addressable Lighting Interface is a mechanism that allows for separate light control.

This interface supports 64 channels, and if looped together using the TIS BUS system, a group of DALI 64 channels can manage lighting in a stadium.
The TIS DALI protocol is useful in situations where lighting control and security necessitate careful consideration. These spaces include public, commercial, and/or cultural places, such as malls and museums. If there is a disconnection in wiring, a blackout happens, or lights run out of power for any reason, this protocol enables emergency automatic turn on. This gives you time to call for a technician. Also, in case of a blackout, this smart protocol restores previous settings.
The DALI system also decreases wiring up to 80%. If installed next to lights, there is no need for separate wiring from all lights to the control room because this system uses a looping method. That’s how DALI makes the unbelievable happen.
The DALI protocol also allows for incorporated group and scene broadcast control. An example of this feature is a cinema with different groups of lights (red and white, for example) in different parts (front, back, and side). Classical lighting systems are not suitable for such a building since the wiring and the number of switches required by these systems would be disastrous! Using DALI, you can define scenarios in which groups of lights are controlled at the same time without the wiring and switches nightmare.
