Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast is a first and third-person shooter, with heavy elements of hack and slash combat—due to the nature of lightsaber combat–that is both the sequel to Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (1997), and the third main installment in the Star Wars: Jedi Knight series.

The single-player campaign takes place two years after the Mysteries of the Sith, where the ongoing protagonist of this series, Kyle Katarn–whom cut off his connection to the Force, and is now a mercenary of the New Republic–is faced with yet another trial: the Dark Jedi Desann and his force-empowered followers, with the support of the Imperial Remnant.

𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡:

Due to my experience with Jedi Outcast (v1.02) multiplayer, I'm able to take the basics aspects of the intricate combat system (i.e., force utilization and low-level saber play) and somewhat adapt those aspects, to the more restrictive combat system of v1.03–although, with some mistakes, as at the time of this recording, I hadn't played Jedi Outcast in some time.

In addition, because I've played the single-player campaign several times before, I can actively recall the location of a few secret areas, a decent number of enemy positions, the general direction of the campaign's storyline, and the puzzle-like mini games that the Jedi Knight series is also known for.

With all that being said, you'll see all of my successes and failures, with as little as editing as possible, in order to approximate what it would be like to play this classic Star Wars game. Enjoy. :)

𝘝𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴: r_customheight 1080
                           r_customwidth 1920
                           r_mode -1
vid_restart (to apply the changes made)

𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒗𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔:  Set the height and width to a value that corresponds to your preferred resolution for the commands above.

𝘖𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴: sensitivity 2.5 (1600 CPI)
                          com_maxfps 200
                          cg_fov 110

𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔: There are optimal values such as 125, 142, and 333 that are useful for specific situations, given the nature of the game engine used for this game, but that probably doesn't matter for a normal playthrough. With that being said, use your preferred values for the commands above.
