The eCentreClinic is a not-for-profit initiative of the Centre for Emotional Health at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. We comprise a team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and research staff.
eCentreClinic is an Internet-based research clinic. We develop free online treatment and education programs for adults with anxiety and depressive disorders. We built the eCentreClinic because more than 3 million Australian adults suffer anxiety and depression each year, but most don't see a mental health professional. We believe that people have a right to helpful information about anxiety and depression. By providing this information via the Internet we hope that more people will learn to master their symptoms, and by doing so improve their quality of life and that of their families and communities.
Each person who participates in our programs is registered in a clinical trial. Each clinical trial aims to answer important questions about how we can best provide these programs.
