Social-Emotional Learning for Preschoolers

For these activities, you’ll just need a mirror and some family photos! To start, make faces in the mirror to show different emotions. Have your child identify the faces you’re making and ask why your child connects certain feelings to each face. Then have your child make the same faces back at you! For the second activity, explore family photos with your child. Ask your child to look at family members’ faces, identify their feelings, and even guess what might have caused them to feel that way. These simple at-home activities give children a fun, interactive way to practice social-emotional skills!
