What is a Structured Formula
What is a Structured Formula Reference? If you are using Excel 2007 or Excel 2010, you can convert a Standard Data Range to an Excel Table. Now, when you want to add a new field and perform a calculation in it, you can take advantage of Structured Formula References.
In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to use the "This Row" style of Structured Formula References in both Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 - they are different!
I also demonstrate how to use the valuable SUBTOTAL() Function with references to Fields in Excel Tables.
I will continue this lesson in a Part 2 to go into greater detail when using Structured Formula References.
