Capacitive sensors are primary sensing elements which are used for measurement of physical parameters such as displacement, force, pressure etc.It operates on the principle of parallel plate plate capacitor.

AC bridges are used for signal conditioning to give an output in the form of voltage or current.

Capacitive Sensors can be  categorised as:
1. Parallel Plate Capacitor
2. Cylindrical Capacitor
3. Circular Capacitor
