Meet the Hathaway Family! Hathaway Vacations is a family-owned, full-service travel franchise. Located in California, they have owned their home-based travel franchise since 2014. Each family member plays their own role in running and marketing the business. 40% of their business is land tours and 60% of their business is cruising. They've grown the river cruise business. Hathaway vacations utilizes social media to reach other areas of the country as they're able to reach whatever demographic and area they want to through ads on Facebook and other platforms.
Don recommends doing your research so you know what you're committing to and then to be patient, understanding that it will take time and that you shouldn't get frustrated with it. How have they been successful running a business as a family? They love traveling together and being together. They hold regular meetings to plan and organize, especially because they no longer live in the same place. They also recommend going to events to network instead of just sitting at home.
