With sustainable and regenerative initiatives at the heart of every decision, Soori Bali constantly evolves to support the region’s physical, economic, and emotional sustainable growth – a dedication which saw the resort achieve recognition in 2021 with the Leading Hotels of the World Change-Makers Award.
Taking place monthly, the Soori Rice Initiative in collaboration with the Chiefs of villages is a crucial part of community involvement in ensuring a wider awareness on the responsible usage of plastics and the need for reducing, reusing and recycling. As a support to local farmers and to combat Bali’s rivers and beaches pollution, the Soori Rice Initiative 1 kilogram of rice is provided as a barter for 1 kilogram of plastic trash collected. Up to date, one ton of plastic has been collected & recycled against one ton of local rice distributed.
To preserve the intangible cultural heritage of Bali and cultivate a centuries-old art, the Balinese Legong Art, SOORI Bali hosts on site fully funded indigenous school: for young children: The Little Dancers and Musicians of Kelating.
