My playthrough of Kaidan's Daedric
My playthrough of Kaidan's Daedric quest expansion, “Ashes of His Past” and its epilogue “Absolution by Dragon Fire.” Obviously, if you haven’t played this quest and plan to - don’t watch this video!! It's 100% spoilers.
I DO NOT HAVE A MODLIST AT THIS TIME

Both of these quests are from the amazing Kaidan Immersive Features mod and are off by default due to the heavy themes and just because this isn’t everyone's cup of tea. What the Immersive Features team did here is nothing short of incredible.

A couple things of note: I made a couple of adjustments to the music and animations to either have the video flow better or because something happened during the animation that wrecked the mood (like Kaidan mentioning my bounty mid kiss on more than one occasion -_-). I only did this a few times.
Additionally, I edited the fight between the gang and Ros just to up the drama so it won’t be exactly like that in your game.
Ashes was devastating - I loved it! I felt like crying the whole time. Seeing Kaidan going through it and walking beside him in it (no matter how hard he tries to push you away) was so moving and as a player deepened my love and respect for him. It makes the Dragonborn’s relationship with him feel more real too. Real couples go through hard times and have to support each other if one is down. Real couples in loving relationships can also deeply hurt each other and it is up to them as individuals and as a team to make amends and move forward.
Absolution was so sweet - I loved it! It was all the fluff needed to balance out the angst of Ashes. It is great that this quest is here because without it I don’t think I would have felt closure from the events of Ashes. I love how the takeaway is that Kaidan is more than his past and a better person than he gives himself credit for. It's not enough to just confront your past, you also have to also fight for your future.
I made this video for me because I love the quest and I adore Kaidan and I know I will want to go back and watch this like a movie in the future haha. I also like playing around with video editing and such so this was a fun project for me. I hope you enjoy it too :D
