Chickpea sprouts are a great source of vitamins, minerals, and protein.  Also, freshly sprouted peas have a nice crunchy texture that you don’t get from cooked ones.  It takes only three days and the sprouts are ready to eat.  They are many ways to serve sprouted chickpeas.  They can be eaten raw or cooked.  Saute them with garlic and herbs or simply adding them to salad.  

Ingredient:  One cup (200 g) chickpeas/garbanzo beans
Equipment: A container, a strainer, and a dark cloth
