This short animation shows how a KVL crankcase pressure regulator (CPR) valve works. The Danfoss KVL 15 or KVL 22 pressure-regulating valve is used for regulating crankcase pressure. The valve is installed in the suction line and opens with lower suction pressure to protect the compressor during startup and after a long period of standstill. The KVL valve throttles suction pressure as a function of the suction pressure.
There are two sizes, with 10 different connection sizes, with a nominal capacity of 6.4 kW and 16.9 kW (R407C)
