How To Fix LG Top Load Washer That Won't Turn On (Why LG Top Load Washing Machine Not Turning On?). In this video tutorial I will show you how to fix LG top load washer that won't turn on.
1. The control board probably malfunctioned. The first solution to this is doing a reset on the unit by doing the following:
• Unplug the washer.
• Press and hold the power button for five seconds.
• Next, press and hold the play/pause button for five seconds.
• Then, re-plug the washer.
If this does not work, consider getting a new control board, then do the following:
• Shut down and unplug the washer.
• Go through the user manual to locate the control board.
• Once you find it, extract the panels to access it.
• Snap a picture before disassembling it to enable you to refer to the photo later.
• Extract the faulty control board and then place the new one. Go to the photo you took to see how to install the new control board correctly.
• Then, put back the panels you extracted earlier.
2. Additionally, the noise filter could be faulty. The only solution here is to get a new one, then do the following:
• Turn off and unplug the machine.
• Go through the user manual to locate the noise filter.
• Then, remove the panels to locate the filter, then extract its screws and detach the wire harness.
• Place the new filter and connect it to the wire harness.
• Put back the panels and power the machine back up.
