Google recently released Gemini, a
Google recently released Gemini, a state-of-the-art AI language model (LLM) which is rivals OpenAI's GPT-4. In this hands-on tutorial we dive into all of the Gemini capabilities and how to use the new Google Gemini API to create an AI-powered Discord bot! This essentially allows you to use Gemini inside of Discord!
In the tutorial, we use Gemini Pro, the best currently available model, to generate code. Gemini Ultra, the most powerful new model, surpasses GPT-4 on a number of different AI benchmarks, but is not yet available for public use.
We look through all of the Gemini API documentation and discuss the Gemini capabilities as well as the issues and limitations. I compare the Gemini API to the Assistants API in some places, but will be making a more dedicated video for this in the near future. I will show you how to use the Gemini API and build a Discord bot that can write code.
