Gem Cutting Tutorial: Lab Created Ruby

Mike has an old half boule of lab created ruby that he would like to finally cut.  Watch as award-winning gem cutter, Michael Sackos, facets this ruby into the “Standard Oblong Step Cut With Cut Corners” design. In this video, he also experiments with using a 100 grit topper with corundum and demonstrates his method of seasoning his 100 grit batt lap.
