Although it can be a challenge to build forearm muscle if you're naturally thin in this area, it's definitely possible with consistency and with the right plan.

In this video, I'll be outlining the best forearm exercises and workouts to build bigger forearms as efficiently as possible.

Most people assume that classic wrist curls and wrist extensions are the best way to go about this, but in reality, these two exercises should be avoided. This is because they force the much stronger forearm muscles to act across the weaker wrist joint, which limits muscular stimulation and increases the chances of wrist injury.

The best forearm exercises for mass are gripping exercises. These lifts take the wrist out of the equation and allow you to overload your wrist flexors and extensors in the most effective way to build forearm mass and strength.

Along with the stimulation you'll achieve on all of your basic upper body exercises, you can also include these 3 movements in your forearm workouts...

#1 - Farmer's Walks - Just pick up a pair of heavy dumbbells and with your chest up and shoulders back, walk 30-60 meters until your grip gives out. Perform 1-2 sets.

2 - Pull Up Bar Holds - Grab onto a pullup bar using an overhand grip and hold on for 30-60 seconds until your grip gives out. Use a dumbbell or weight plate for added resistance if necessary. Perform 1-2 sets.

- Hand Grippers - You can purchase a set of hand grippers and perform sets of around 8-12 reps to finish off your forearm workouts. I provide links below to 2 high quality brands if you're interested. If you don't want to spend the money on these, then just use the freeweight variation shown in the video above.

Those are the 3 best forearm exercises for mass out there, and if you perform this sequence twice per week at the end of your workout you'll be well on your way to bigger, thicker forearms given enough time.
