Aoshima 1/12 Honda CB750 K0
As we enter a new year, I would like to aim to improve my production level this year compared to last year.
Honda CB750 K0 is a new product from Aoshima.
Focusing on introducing the kit, I added some finer details and assembled it.
I hope this video will be helpful for your model making.

About this kit
It has the same kit configuration as Aoshima's Honda CB400.
The cooling fins and wheels, which can be assembled one by one, are also made into separate parts so that the spokes intersect.
The rear suspension coil is thin but made of metal.
The tank and side covers are a metallic color with a painted texture.
The accuracy is very high and I think it reaches the limit of 1/12 scale.
Honestly, the chain detail is the worst.

Detail up parts
I don't think this kit requires much, but the detail improvement parts I really want are the chain and spokes.

production
This is a very precise kit, so we added as much detail as possible to make it even more precise.

Wheel
This time I tried changing the spokes one by one.
The spokes in the kit can be assembled so that they intersect, but when I measured the thickness of the spokes, they were too thick at 0.8mm.
By the way, the spoke thickness of Fujimi's Super Cub was 0.6mm.
Materials used
0.3mm stainless steel spring wire
0.32mm wire sheath

engine
I replace all cable connections with metal.
The link rod of the carburetor's choke lever was thick, so I replaced it with a brass wire and aluminum pipe, added bolts to the flange, and changed the carburetor's fuel line to an aluminum pipe  for strength.

Hose
I used 1mm mesh cord for the oil line.
The rest are 0.6mm and 0.45mm wires.

Flame
I used a 0.5mm plastic rod to express the welding marks and replaced all the bolts.

Electrical equipment
Added wiring to the coil, horn, ignition key, battery, and brake switch.

Painting
I removed all the plating with bleach, but the first clear layer was so thick that it erased the mold, so I also thoroughly removed the clear layer.
The clear layer was removed with lacquer thinner.

The tank is the specified color candy blue green.
The instructions say that it is a mixture of bamboo color and metallic blue, but if you mix metallic blue and metallic green in a ratio of 6:4, you will get candy blue green.
The first layer is silver → metallic blue green → decal application → clear coat after complete drying.

Engine
Cylinder and crankcase are silver → metallic grille → ground brown → chrome silver
The other covers were painted with plated silver.
Since it is a precision mold, no surfacer is used.

Assembly
There are many places where I don't have enough adhesive area, so I used insect pins to secure those places.
It is also a kit that becomes difficult to assemble as more details are added.
However, even with straight assembly, you can enjoy the realism of the real thing just by applying the paint properly, so this kit is recommended for those who like motorcycle models.

Thank you all of you!
