Ho Chi Minh City [Saigon] 🇻🇳 Showplaces 4K

Ho Chi Minh City, the former Saigon, is at the top of our list and we visited a selection of the most important sights on a private day tour. We reached the metropolis around lunchtime and first visited the Independence Palace (Reunification Palace). From here we walked to Notre Dame Cathedral, which was unfortunately closed to the public and was also completely scaffolded. Right next to it is the famous Saigon Central Post Office. We satisfied our small hunger at the Ben Than Market following our guide's recommendation. The dimensions of this market are impressive. There wasn't much time left after that and we were driven to the war remnants museum. No light fare inside, where I didn't film either, a bit of military technology on the outside, also seen in the historical war films from that time. We would have liked to take a boat trip on the Saigon River and look at the modern architecture up close, but then we would have had to stay longer. A Hope on Hope off bus tour is also possible, well maybe next time!
