Taking a Ferry to Friday Harbor - How to Get to the San Juan Islands!

In this video, I will be bringing you along as we take a Ferry boat to get to the San Juan Islands! Our final destination was Friday Harbor where we would be spending a couple days of our trip enjoying the islands and seeing what they have to offer!
We started our day driving an hour north to Anacortes, Washington to get to the ferry station. There are a couple ways to get to the San Juan Islands. A couple of us would be taking the ferry over, and the rest of the group drove a boat over so we would be able to get to the various islands.
We arrived at the station early so we were able to get out and walk around the area. It was a beautiful day and we were able to see Mount Baker in the distance!
Once it was time to board the ferry, we drove on and parked on the right side. We were able to get out of the car and went upstairs for the remainder of the trip. It was great to be able to get some fresh air and enjoy seeing some of the views of the islands!
Unfortunately, we weren't able to see any wildlife, such as seals or orcas, but the views were just as great!
If you are looking for something to do while in Seattle, I highly recommend taking a trip up to the San Juan Islands! There are many ways to get there. You can either take a seaplane, boat, or ferry. Taking a ferry is a great option that is cheaper and would allow you to bring a car if needed.
We had a great trip up to the islands and it was great to explore a new part of Washington!
