I'm continuing my UTMB 2025 journey and my focus over the next 8 weeks will be to prepare for Trail Verbier on July 6. One of my dreams is to run 100 miles in sub 24 hours. I will attempt to complete this feat at the Yeti 100-mile endurance run on September 27, 2024. In 2021, I finished in 28:15 hours.
We have created a new and exciting track series for ultra runners. Today's first workout is inspired by Adam Peterman, a professional ultra runner for Hoka, who won the Speedgoat 50K, JFK 50 Miler, Canyons 100K, and Western States 100 Miler, in his debut in 2021 -2022 (before an injury timeout). Our workout today comprises 2 parts. Part 1 is a 5-mile technical trail run with 1,100 ft vert, followed by Part 2, a 5 x 1 mile lactate threshold workout with 2-minute recoveries. Let's go, guys!
