• Adopt a systematic approach to make sure
ALL POINTS are covered.
• Using your own words is not necessary.
• But do form proper sentences and use correct
grammar.
PSLE ENGLISH PAPER 1
REVISION
• Continuous writing (40m)
• Yes, you do have to use your own words this time round.
• Read the question carefully! DO NOT writing out of point
(IMMEDIATE FAILURE!)
• Practise your storytelling skills. (20m)
• Use proper grammar and a variety of words, phrases, as well as
sentence structures. (20m)
• Remember to refer to AT LEAST ONE picture.
PSLE ENGLISH PAPER 2
REVISION
• Booklet A is primarily a reading exercise.
• So read carefully to avoid careless mistakes!
• ALL MCQ, including OE Grammar, should
score well!
PSLE ENGLISH PAPER 2
REVISION
• Booklet B has several challenging sections.
• Sentence synthesis, OE cloze, comprehension.
• For sentence synthesis, revise all topics and figure out which ones
you have not mastered.
• For OE cloze, remember to look for contextual clues!
• For comprehension, make full use of your reading skills – e.g.
read important keywords carefully, focus on main ideas, etc.
• Also important – read the questions carefully too!
