Easy recipe to make delicious Pecan Tassies. These are a perfect addition to any holiday dessert table. They are basically miniature versions of Pecan Pie, masquerading as cookies. The combination of flaky crust/shell filled with gooey sweet pecan filing is just out of the world. The addition of cream cheese to the crust dough makes it rich and super flavorful, while the butter keeps it light and flaky. Unlike pecan pie, you don’t need any corn syrup for this recipe. Your kitchen will be filled with an amazing smell when you bake these goodies. They are very addictive, and you won’t be able to stop eating with just one or two pieces 😉 Enjoy!

Ingredients for the dough:
• All Purpose Flour – 1 Cup (120 gm)
• Cream Cheese – 3 Oz
• Unsalted Butter – 1 Stick (1/2 Cup or 8 tbsp)
• Salt – 1/8 tsp

Steps:
1. Mix both softened cream cheese and butter together until they form into a smooth paste.
2. Add salt and mix it into the butter cream cheese paste.
3. Add flour and mix just until combined. The texture of dough is going to be sticky.
4. Chill the dough in the refrigerator at least for an hour. The longer the dough chills, the less sticky and firmer it gets. If you want, you can prepare the dough ahead of time and chill it overnight.

Ingredients for Pecan filling:
• Pistachios (roughly chopped) – 1 Cup
• Light Brown Sugar – 1 Cup
• Large Eggs – 2
• Vanilla – 2 tsp
• Unsalted Butter – 2 tbsp

Steps:
1. Crack both eggs into a big bowl and give them a quick mix.
2. Add sugar, chopped pecans, vanilla, and melted butter to the eggs and give it all a good mix.
3. Once the dough is chilled, take about a tbsp of dough and put it into the mini muffin mold.
4. Press the dough alongside the walls of the muffin mold and shape it into a shell.
5. Pour about a spoon full of pecan filling mixture into these shells. Do not overfill the molds, as the filling will rise and bubble while baking and if it spills out, it will become sticky and the shell won’t release easily from the mold.
6. Bake at 375 F for about 15 to 16 minutes. The entire kitchen will be filled with an amazing smell while you bake these goodies.
7. Let the Pecan Tassies cooldown in the pan for about 10 minutes once they come out of the oven.
8. Gently slide a knife or spatula to get the tassies out of the pan and place them on a cooling rack to let them cool down completely.
9. These miniature versions of Pecan Pies are a great alternative for the big slice of pie and the ratio of flaky crust to the sweet gooey pecan filling is just perfect. Enjoy!
