Qianhai, located on the Nantou Peninsula in Shenzhen is dubbed the "Special Zone within a Special Zone." It has been a focus of the Chinese Communist Party's efforts to transform it into China's "Manhattan." A decade later, the reality is starkly different: towering skyscrapers stand empty, shopping centers lack customers, and highways are eerily deserted. This project, personally overseen by CCP leader Xi Jinping, has become yet another unfinished venture.
