Marie Curie was the first woman to win Nobel Prize. She won her first Nobel prize (Physics) in 1903 for the discovery of radioactive elements Radium and Polonium. She won her second Nobel prize (Chemistry) in 1911.  She suffered discrimination because of her gender but still proved her worth by winning two Nobel prizes and many other awards and honours.
