Dan takes us on his personal journey of living and working in Vietnam, of meeting a young homeless girl, and how this set off a chain of events inspiring him to pioneer social change for impoverished women in developing countries who are often prone to exploitation.
Dan outlines how he created world’s first ethical, fair-trade hair extensions company, and how this social enterprise is now providing life-changing opportunities to impoverished women around the world, as well as raising the standards for a multi-billion dollar hair industry that has historically suffered from corruption and shady business practices. As founder of REMY NY, Dan pioneering social change for women in disenfranchised countries who are prone to exploitation. His work centers on creating a transparent, ethical, and fair-trade supply chain helping less fortunate women create a better future for themselves, while simultaneously raising the standards for a multi-billion dollar industry in the hair and beauty market.
