#Shorts After 3 weeks of Cutting, Welding and Testing the torque tube cylinder breakout bench here is a couple of brief Videos of Seth and I using it on a real paying job. First, we used the red heavy-duty 3-inch bore cylinder on the Breakout bench to disassemble and loosen a tight piston-nut offa chrome Rod . The second short clip shows me tightening up the piston nut onto the chromed rod using the black 2-1/2 inch bore cylinder. Using basic mathematics, pressure over area calculations and the distance of the cylinders point force from the centre pivot point, we worked out how much pressure we should use to tighten the piston-nut with a 60 mm dia thread up to 6920 Nm (5100 Foot-pounds).
