AUTONOMOUS DRIVING
The dream of fully autonomous driving is fascinating - for us, too. But what does a self-driving vehicle actually need to drive independently? The complexity and demands on technical solutions, advanced sensor technology or smart controls for instance, are extremely high-level. It is all about how automated vehicles can move at all on the one hand, and about the aspects of safety and driving comfort on the other.

INNOVATION PROJECTS
Even today, we already have aids in our cars to automate driving functions, parking assistant systems for instance. Our embedded software development teams are also working on the future of autonomous cars and their various stages. Innovation projects, for example, are regularly carried out, and these also enable students to help to shape exciting future mobility concepts. You can see "Kidscar", one of the latest student projects, in the video. This is a model car that step by step is being developed into an autonomous vehicle.
