'Water, water everywhere...': Silchar town in Assam submerged by floods

Following incessant rains in Assam, Silchar town in the Cachar district has been submerged in flood waters on June 22. Families continue to be stranded in their waterlogged homes, and the town is facing a massive shortage of food and drinking water. Electricity has also been cut off in several parts of the town.
