Ceramic 3D Printing with Zortrax Inkspire 2 Resin 3D Printer and Post-Processing System

Zortrax Inkspire 2 resin 3D printer along with Zortrax Cleaning Station and Zortrax Curing Station post-processing devices have gained the possibility of fabricating ceramic-like 3D parts with BASF Ultracur3D® RG 3280 3D printing photopolymer resin. Ultracur3D® RG 3280 is a specialized, ceramic-filled resin belonging to the rigid line of BASF Forward AM’s 3D printing photopolymers. When used with our newest resin 3D printing and post-processing system, 3D parts acquire unmatched properties without the use of special furnaces.  

The whole process is divided into three steps:
1. 3D printing on Zortrax Inkspire 2 equipped with a proprietary light engine which provides uniform UV exposure of every pixel on a build platform and is compatible with advanced, engineering resins produced by world-leading manufacturers.
2. Fully automated cleaning process in Zortrax Cleaning Station, during which excessive, uncured photopolymer resin is removed from the surfaces of models.
3. Fully automated curing process in Zortrax Curing Station, during which 3D printed parts achieve their target mechanical properties.
