This is a stotram for Ganesha, the lord of obstacles and responsible for blessing the path, calming its mishaps. Jonas Masetti “Vishvanatha” is a vedanta acharya and he teaches vedanta, sanskrit, mantras and vedic culture mainly in Brazil, where he is based. He has reached a great audience of students by teaching online classes, organizing retreats and publishing books about yoga and vedanta in Portuguese and English. His accomplishments with his vedanta teachings in Brazil were acknowledged by the Indian Government through their Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi recognizing professor Jonas as an ambassador of the vedic culture who made the study of vedanta and of the Gita popular in Brazil, reaching the mark of 150k students in 7 years. ----- नारद उवाच Nārada said: प्रणम्य शिरसा देवं गौरीपुत्रं विनायकम्। भक्तावासं स्मरेन्नित्यमायु: कामार्थसिद्धये॥१॥ Having praised with the head that Deva, son of Gaurī and the remover of obstacles, [one] should always remember that abode of the devotees, with the objective of health and wealth. प्रथमं वक्रतुण्डं च एकदन्तं द्वितीयकम्। तृतीयं कृष्णपिङ्गाक्षं गजवक्त्रं चतुर्थकम्॥२॥ First, he is the one whose trunk is curved and, second, he has one tooth. Third, he is the one whose eyes are blackish brown [and], fourth, he has an elephant’s face. लम्बोदरं पञ्चमं च षष्ठं विकटमेव च। सप्तमं विघ्नराजं च धूम्रवर्णं तथाष्टमम्॥३॥ Fifth, he is the one with a huge belly and, sixth, he is really formidable. Seventh, he is the king of difficulties and, eighth, also he is smoke-coloured. नवमं भालचन्द्रं च दशमं तु विनायकम्। एकादशं गणपतिं द्वादशं तु गजाननम्॥४॥ Nineth, he is the one with the moon in the forehead, and, tenth, also he is the remover of obstacles. Eleventh, he is the king of groups and, twelfth, his has an elephant mouth. द्वादशैतानि नामानि त्रिसन्ध्यं य: पठेन्नर:। न च विघ्नभयं तस्य सर्वसिद्धिकरं प्रभो॥५॥ For that man who recites these twelve names in the three Sandhyas, there will not be fear of difficulties and he will be all successful, oh lord! विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां धनार्थी लभते धनम्। पुत्रार्थी लभते पुत्रान्मोक्षार्थी लभते गतिम्॥६॥ One who pursuits knowledge attains knowledge, one who pursuits wealth attains wealth, one who has desire for child get children [and] who wants Mokṣa attain that objective. जपेद्गणपतिस्तोत्रं षड्भिर्मासै: फलं लभेत्। संवत्सरेण सिद्धिं च लभते नात्र संशय:॥७॥ The one who repeats this hymn to Ganapati for six months, attains its result in one year, in this there is no doubt. अष्टभ्यो ब्राह्मणेभ्यश्च लिखित्वा य: समर्पयेत्। तस्य विद्या भवेत्सर्वा गणेशास्य प्रसादत:॥८॥ The one who having wrote [this hymn] offers to eight Brāhmaṇas, get his knowledge completed [and] will be blessed by Gaṇeśa. ॥ इति श्रीनारदपुराणे सङ्कटनाशनगणेशस्तोत्रं सम्पूर्णम्॥ Like that, the hymn to Gaṇeśa, the remover of obstacles, that is [found] in the Śrī-Nārada-Purāṇa, is completed.
