She rose from poverty to become the fastest Indian woman. Banned from competition for hyperandrogenism, she won a landmark legal battle to come back. Indian women atheletes had moved the 100m national record by 0.01 seconds in 31 years; she moved it by 0.14 seconds in two months in the Olympics year.
