Arab states vote for Syria's return to the Arab League • FRANCE 24 English

Arab government representatives in Cairo voted Sunday to return Syria to the Arab League after a 12-year suspension, according to the organisation. Due to “dramatic diplomatic shifts” internationally and eased US sanctions after the Turkey-Syria earthquakes, the decision came about quickly. But the message Arab governments are sending out is one of “impunity”, says FRANCE 24 journalist Leela Jacinto.
