Hindi Kavi Sammelan at Kumbh Mela - Glimpses of Prayagraj 2019

Kumbh Mela at Prayagraj had so much for a visitor to experience. It gave me my first opportunity to listen to a Hindi Kavi Sammelan, that too with stalwarts of Hindi poetry like Dr. Sunil Jogi. Other poets at the Kavi Sammelan were Gajendra Solanki, Manveer Madhur, Mamta Sharma, Radhakant Pandey. They all came from different parts of Uttar Pradesh. The way the audience listened, I understood that they were familiar with them.

There was an air of patriotism, pride in the ancient culture of India and of course there was ample humor. The audience participated with their loud applause.

Kavi Sammelan at Kumbh Mela lasted for about 2 hours and the leading saints like Baba Ramdev participated by encouraging the poets.
