We've never stayed at a hotel anything like this before! Our new favorite hotel is located in Singapore!

We were so intrigued by this Hotel that when we found out about it we immediately booked it. That was over 3 months before our trip. It's a good thing we did because less than a month later all four units were booked up. Usually Amy and I search out inexpensive places to stay that offer a convenient location, sense of security, and comfort. This time we decided to pay a little more to have the best location, a unique experience, and a possible glimpse at what our retirement might feel like.
The Garden Pods at the Gardens by the Bay offer a truly special home away from home experience. They have all the modern amenities you'd expect to see in a new condo. A thoughtful design that makes use of the space and doesn't have you feeling cramped. It boasts a fully equipped modern kitchen and for those sunny days access to a BBQ. It can easily sleep 6 so if you are travelling with a group or with kids, one Pod might be enough. What really sets it apart is the location. The Garden Pods are located within the Gardens by the Bay grounds. It places you in the heart of all the major attractions in Singapore. You are a walk to practically everywhere except the Singapore Zoo. Thankfully transit is excellent in Singapore so if there are other places you are interested in seeing, it's rather easy to get there.
A Garden Pod is a little less than $600/night Canadian. That's the most that we have spent on a Hotel anywhere in the world. We see our stay there as more than just a place to sleep. To us this was an experience similar to any other attraction we might have paid for. If you come to Toronto you might pay to go up the CN Tower or tour Casa Loma. In Rome you might pay to tour the Vatican. In Singapore we could have paid to spend some time atop the Marina Bay Sands but we chose the Garden Pod instead. We don't regret our choice whatsoever.
