Hyundai Elite i20 second generation was launched in August 2014 based on Hyundia Kia GB Platform and designed by Casey Hyun. It was awarded as 2015 Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY).
Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift model launched in February,2018. It comes with new front and rear bumpers , new bootlid which now also accommodates rear number plate which has been moved from lower portion of bumper in pre-facelift version. The car also gets a new Diamond Cut alloy wheel design , new tail lamp design and also a new orange exterior colour and in dual tone. Changes to the interior include addition of a new 7'inch AVN infotainment system that now comes with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto & Mirror Link.
Hyundai Elite i20 is powered by 1.2L Kappa Dual VTVT Petrol Engine and 1.4L U2 CRDi Diesel Engine. The petrol engine produces 83 bhp of power and 115Nm torque. Meanwhile, the diesel engine produces 90 bhp of power and 220Nm torque.
Automatic Transmission available in Petrol Engine only as CVT and it comes with two petrol variants only i.e Sportz+ & Asta(O).
Internationally following the launch of the i30N, it is believed that the i20 is next up for the N treatment and will rival cars like the upcoming Ford Fiesta ST, Peugeot 208 GTI, Toyota Yaris GRMN, Renault Clio Sport and the VW Polo GT in International Markets.
Colours Options : Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Stardust, Fiery Red, Passion Orange, Marina Blue and Dual tone variant comes with Black Roof in Polar White, Fiery Red & Passion Orange colours.
