Winters in Estonia can be brutally long, dark, and cold. They do, however, leave us with some stunning scenery that can only be appreciated at this time of year.
Outdoor sports such as ice fishing are extremely popular, and Estonians will walk regardless of the weather.
Everything springs to life when the sky turns totally blue and the sun rises.
Living in Estonia as a foreigner isn't one of the easiest things to do in Estonia as you need to survive the cold weather.
Winter in Estonia lasts from late November until late March and often extends to May with temperatures ranging from mild plus degrees to as low as minus thirty (-30°C).
Estonians would say we have 4 seasons here in Estonia, but for me, I kinda disagree with that and would say Estonia has 2 seasons which are winter and summer, because,
Estonia is always cold even during summer. The weather could be so confusing that you find yourself asking what season is this? The coldest month in Estonia is February, as is often the case in the Nordic countries.
