On August 22, 12 unedited chapters Midnight Sun were leaked on the internet. Stephenie Meyer had individual copies given to trustworthy people. I guess they're not so trustworthy after all, huh? That is disappointing and a sense of enormous betrayal.
I do not believe Stephenie Meyer should give up. Since this is the first time it's happened, I think the is overreacting a tad bit. Though as a writer myself, I understand her position. She's an author and her property was violated. If my work was distributed without my permission, I would feel hurt. However, when this happened to J.K. Rowling, she didn't stop. Stephenie shouldn't either.
It is rumored that Stephenie Meyer won't release it for another 2 years. We can still hold up for that long right? But, remember, it's 2 years -- a rumor. Also, people say that she will be continuing it. Truth be told, this is wrong. She has not updated her Midnight Sun section on her website. For all of you who read that she will be finishing it, check out the date: JUNE 2008. This is in AUGUST. Im sorry; but you people were incorrect.
Please, if you will, feel free to reflect on this incident. I'd like to hear them. I, myself, am a VERY opinionated person. And, if you can, tell them about this video, or any supportive Midnight Sun video! Spread the word, hear the word!
