Hello everyone,
In this art vlog I am studying John Singer Sargent's masterworks. As my first Sargent master copy, I decided to paint the portrait of Madame X. This painting caused a scandal both for the artist and for the sitter back then. Only now the painting gets the appreciation that it truly deserves. It was a challenge for me to get the pale nuances in the model's skin tone, but overall I enjoyed this experience. I kept the painting process a bit longer than usual, please let me know if you would like to see it longer/shorter.
