Graduate Student White Coat Ceremony - November 1, 2023

The Graduate Coating Ceremony is a Johns Hopkins tradition honoring the achievement of our graduate students. While coating ceremonies are common for M.D. students, the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is one of few institutions in the country to host a ceremony for its graduate students.
Each coat is embroidered with the student’s name and with a graduate student pin representing the unity of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine graduate programs.

Lab coats were presented at the Graduate Coating Ceremony in November. With their families, peers and mentors as witnesses, each student recited the graduate student oath, a commitment to our professional values as they embark on careers as scientists.
