Panoramica delle Vette - Zoncolan's neighbour

This is an epic rough road at nearly 2000m of altitude between the peaks of Friuli, Northern Italy. We recommend mountainbikes, but you should be fine on a gravel bike with at least 38mm tyres. The gravel road on top was built in the First World War. Hard to believe, but 2011 this was supposed to be ridden in the Giro d'Italia. The riders protested because of the dangers of this route, and the stage was cancelled. One of the best rides I have ever done.
