Zimbabwe's ruling ZANU PF holds elective congress: Dr Ibbo Mandaza provides insight

Zimbabwe's ruling ZANU PF party is holding its seventh elective congress in the capital Harare ahead of next year's general election. This year's congress is the party's second congress following the toppling of long-time ruler, the late former President Robert Mugabe in 2017. More than 3 500 delegates are expected to attend the congress, which is to ordain incumbent leader Emmerson Mnangagwa as the party's sole presidential candidate for the upcoming 2023 elections.
