I'm working on a 13" mdf wood round today.
My base/pillow is British Paints with a good squirt of GAC 800 and nothing else added.
Colours:
My version of Nickel Azo Orange; Jo Sonja paints in Norwegian Orange, Orange Yellow, Gold Oxide and Pearlex pigment in Solar Gold for some shimmer. I just kept adding until it reached the colour I loved!
Jo Sonja Plum Pink mixed with Liquitex Deep Violet
#TLP Galaxy with some Pearlex Interference Blue
TLP (This Little Piggy) pigments can only be purchased from https://fluid-art.co/
My colours were mixed with untinted house paint and gloss varnish, I actually eyeball the amounts and don't measure ratios, I do show the consistency at the start of the video.
For pigments, always disperse your dried pigment first BEFORE adding your desired pouring medium. I always disperse the powder into a few drops of acrylic binder to make a creamy paste and stir well, you don't want it watery as can cause your pigments to break (flocculation). I don't mix up too much at a time.

My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too.
My metal spatulas are artist knives, the smaller ones are from Mont Marte and the large one I use sometimes is a brand called The Art Studio and was bought from an independent art store.
