Sometimes even the best actresses
Sometimes even the best actresses are forced to go "uncredited" and my dame, Margaret Dumont, is no exception.
Here she is, playing background to a horrendously embarrasing scene from 1958's Auntie Mame in which Mame Dennis (Rosalind Russell) and her best friend Vera Charles ("my wife, the actress, Coral Browne" to quote Vincent Price) have a fight over Mame's unintentional upstaging.
Margaret Dumont is the woman who speaks and exits right before Miss Browne enters the stage. You can see a proper trademark Dumont take as Vera assaults Mame near the end of the clip.
