How to remove a grass stain:
1.) Check the care label to determine if your garment is washable. If your garment is dry clean only, do not attempt at home remedies or proceed with caution.
2.) If the grass stain is on a washable garment, dab (do not rub) the grass stain with a clean white towel to absorb as much of the stain as possible.
3.) Before washing, mix up a solution of one cup of lukewarm water, 1/2 teaspoon of dish detergent (not laundry detergent, we like Dawn) and 1 tablespoon of white vinegar.
4.) Apply this solution to the grass stain site and allow to sit for 15 minutes.
5.) Wash as normal or instructed by the care label.
6.) If the grass stain did not come out, do not dry!
7.) Try the procedure above again and if this doesn’t work, apply 3% hydrogen peroxide (available from the first aid aisle of your local pharmacy) to the grass stain. Allow to sit for 15 minutes and then wash. This should remove the last traces of the chlorophyll.
8.) Only dry once the grass stain has been fully removed.
9.) Your grass stain has been removed!
