During this time, she also suffered cardiac arrest and seizures, leaving her family fearing for her survival. When she emerged from the coma, she faced various challenges, including aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage. Tatum's recovery has been a long and arduous journey. She has undergone intensive therapy to regain her strength, memory, and ability to communicate effectively. The COVID-19 pandemic posed additional obstacles, as her family was unable to visit her in person and could only communicate through phone and video calls. Gradually, Tatum has made progress, improving her vocabulary and gaining a better understanding of her surroundings. Throughout her recovery, Tatum has also been addressing the underlying issues that led to her drug use. She attends twelve-step meetings and continues to work on achieving sobriety. Her determination and commitment to healing are evident as she navigates the emotional and physical challenges that come with her stroke.
