Shahmeer talks about the talent of hacking and its uses. Good and Bad Shahmeer Amir is a 22-year-old Multan-born Hacker who has earned $150,000 in total bounties by reporting bugs to over 400 global organizations, some of which include Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Dropbox. Surprisingly, this genius hacker was once rejected by 17 universities. However, he transformed his hacking into a very good cause by coming up with initiatives to better secure the Pakistani cyberspace from internal and external threats. In 2015, Shahmeer was ranked #1 hacker by HackerOne. He has also been summoned to DEFCON due to his substantial accomplishments in reporting and fixing bugs. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
